CreatrSpace ("we", "us") helps creators decide what to post. This page explains what we collect when you use creatrspace.com, why, who helps us run it, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules.
Short version: we collect what you give us and how you use the app, we use it to run and improve CreatrSpace, we don't sell it, and you can delete your account and its data at any time from your profile.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We never store the password itself.
- Sign in with Google: if you continue with Google, Google shares your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account id with us, and we use them only to create and sign you in to your account. We ask for nothing else from your Google account: no Gmail, Drive, YouTube, contacts or calendar access. We don't share this data with anyone, and deleting your account removes it. You can also revoke our access at any time at myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps.
- Your creator profile: your answers to the onboarding questions (interests, skills, goals, platforms, audience age, languages and so on), your niche, saved items, plans, progress and settings.
- Idea Lab: the ideas you type and the reports and follow-up answers we generate for them.
- How you use the app: pages you open, how long you stay, how far you scroll, what you tap, which items you view, and errors you hit. This is tied to your account when you're logged in, and to a random browser id before that.
- Invites: who invited whom, and when codes were created and used.
- Feedback you send us from the app.
- Technical data: IP address (used briefly for abuse protection), browser and device type.
We don't ask for payment details to start: the free plan needs no card. Premium is paid through Razorpay, which handles card details; we never see them.
Why we use it
- To run your account, send your invite and password-reset emails, and show you a feed, plans and reports that fit you.
- To improve CreatrSpace: we study usage in aggregate to learn which trends, ideas and formats work for creators, and to build benchmarks.
- To keep the service safe: stopping spam and abuse, and fixing errors.
- To measure our ads: whether an ad led to a signup.
By creating an account you consent to this use. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account (below); that stops all further processing of your personal data.
Cookies and similar tech
- Essential: a login cookie (
ig_session) and browser storage that keeps your progress on this device. - Analytics: random visitor and session ids (
ig_anon,ig_sid) for the usage data above. These stay on CreatrSpace and are never shared with ad networks. - Advertising: on our public pages only (home, sign-up and log-in), we may load the Meta Pixel and Google tag so we can tell whether our ads work. They receive the page visited and whether you signed up; never your email, ideas or profile. They never load inside the app.
Who processes it for us
We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers. These service providers process it on our behalf, only to run CreatrSpace:
- Amazon Web Services: app hosting (Sydney, Australia) and email delivery.
- Neon: our database (Singapore).
- Hostinger: our email mailbox and outgoing mail.
- Google (Sign in with Google): confirms who you are when you choose to continue with Google, as described above.
- Google (Gemini): writes Idea Lab reports. It receives the idea text and the niche context needed to answer, not your email or name.
- Meta and Google Ads: ad measurement on public pages, as described above.
Some of these providers store data outside India. We only use providers with strong security practices, and we'll follow any restrictions the Government of India sets on such transfers.
We may disclose data if the law requires it, for example a valid court or government order.
How long we keep it
- Account, profile and Idea Lab data: until you delete your account.
- Usage data: when you delete your account we remove everything that links it to you. We keep the anonymous counts (for example "a creator in the fitness niche opened this trend") because they no longer identify anyone.
- Password-reset links expire after one hour.
Your rights
- Delete: go to Profile → Delete account. It takes effect immediately and can't be undone.
- Access and correct: most of your data is visible and editable on your profile. For a copy of everything we hold about you, email us.
- Complain or nominate: you can raise a grievance with us (below), and then with the Data Protection Board of India. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
Children
CreatrSpace is for people aged 18 and over. If you're under 18, please don't sign up. If we learn a child has an account, we'll delete it.
Security
Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, login tokens are stored only as hashes, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run CreatrSpace. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Grievance officer and contact
Questions, requests or complaints: hello@creatrspace.com, subject "Privacy". Our grievance officer will acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
